Cristine Kokla  – Senior Programme Manager

Cristine’s role is to support and improve clinical services with a focus on earlier cancer stage diagnosis, continuous improvement, budgets, policies and processes. She also manages PMO activities and risks to improve quality. She collaborates with workstream leads to develop projects and programmes in line with cancer priorities set out in the NHS Long Term Plan. She reports to the Head of Programmes.

She has worked in the NHS since 2011 within HR, contracting/commissioning, and programme management. Previously she worked within pharmaceuticals and food companies in marketing and quality management.

Her cancer experience includes working within Primary Care as a Senior Delivery Manager and on projects and a co-designed strategy for GP access including: cervical cancer, workforce, Covid vaccines, and care homes. She supported GP Leads to focus on reducing variation in Primary Care and made recommendations for the sustainability of programmes/projects.

Cristine also has a personal experience of dealing with a cancer as her mum died from stage 4 pancreatic cancer at age 56. She says; “I always put patients first, try to think out of the box, think creatively and I am keen to learn from patients’ own personal experiences.”
