Public engagement

We support and share national and local cancer initiatives to help people understand cancer, access services, and take action earlier.

We work with partners across Thames Valley to make sure information about cancer prevention, screening, diagnosis, and care is clear, accessible, and relevant to local communities.

What we do

Our public engagement work includes:

  • Sharing national cancer initiatives at a local level
  • Supporting regional awareness activity across Thames Valley
  • Working with partners to reach different communities
  • Promoting clear, accessible information about cancer services

Our role is to connect people with the right information at the right time, and to help ensure national priorities reflect local needs.

Working with partners

We work closely with a wide range of organisations to share consistent and trusted cancer information, including:

  • NHS trusts and provider organisations
  • Integrated Care Boards and systems
  • Primary care and community services
  • Voluntary, community, and social enterprise organisations

Effective public engagement relies on collaboration. By working together, we avoid duplication and improve reach, impact, and understanding.
