“I belong to a breast cancer support group and can see first-hand how today’s patients feel about their care and how they are reacting.  This is a great help at meetings where I attend as a patient rep.  It is a very good time to be signing up to represent patients and there is real scope for change.  The pandemic has already led to a lot of changes in the way health services are delivered and there are more to come.  Technology has come to the fore with many consultations taking place online.   It is crucial to make sure that all patients can benefit from the changes to service delivery not just those with access to the internet. Patients have a crucial part to play in ensuring that the direction of change works for everyone.  Now is the time to give our views on new research, treatments and support provisions.”
