Caroline Fletcher – Senior Programme Manager: Diagnostics

Caroline joined Thames Valley Cancer Alliance, from Surrey and Sussex Cancer Alliance where she was a diagnostic improvement project manager, working on various deep dive improvement projects across Endoscopy and Imaging, as well as scoping out cancer improvements across Surrey and Sussex Prisons.

Caroline’s role will continue to support improvement in diagnostics across Thames Valley Cancer Alliance and working closely with all our providers as well as her Operational Performance and Improvement team at TVCA.  Her role also ensures there are collaborative links with Thames Valley Radiology Network, Thames Valley Endoscopy Network, South 4 Pathology Network, Endoscopy & Imaging Training Academies as well as Regional Diagnostic colleagues.

Caroline has 25 years NHS experience, starting her career as an A&E receptionist and working up to General Management, holding previous roles in Oncology, Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB), Liver Transplant, Urology, Breast and Vascular services and has a good knowledge of operational management and administrative processes and extremely keen to utilise and share this knowledge to help others.   Her interests are pathway/process mapping, demand, and capacity modelling with a passion for continuous improvement and supporting providers with building improvement plans.   She is a Quality, Service Improvement and Redesign (QSIR) practitioner trained at University College London Hospitals (UCLH), an alumna/us of the Rosalind Franklin Programme, and currently working towards a Quality Improvement (QI) Coaching qualification.

When she is not at work, Caroline lives with her husband in Cheltenham, and is kept very busy with their 2 Children, 3 step-children and 10 grandchildren.
