Gynaecology Clinical Quality Group event brings Thames Valley teams together
Thames Valley Cancer Alliance (TVCA) brought together clinical leaders, multidisciplinary teams, researchers, data specialists and service improvement experts from across the region for a face-to-face Gynaecology Clinical Quality Group (CQG) event on the 10 September.
The event provided an opportunity for colleagues from across the Thames Valley to share learning, strengthen partnerships and work collaboratively on priorities for gynaecological cancer services. Discussions included pathway improvements, variation in treatment and care, cancer performance, innovation and opportunities for service improvement.
The meeting was chaired by Francis Gardner, TVCA Gynaecology CQG Lead, who led discussions on regional priorities, innovation, service improvement and future developments in gynaecological cancer care.
The afternoon featured an educational programme exploring developments in gynaecological oncology, including clinical trials, emerging treatments, surgical innovation and challenging radiology cases. Dedicated networking sessions also gave colleagues an opportunity to build relationships and share experience across organisations.
A key theme throughout the day was the shared commitment to improving outcomes and reducing variation in care for women across the Thames Valley.
TVCA is proud to support this regional collaboration, bringing people together to share best practice, encourage innovation and drive continuous improvement in gynaecological cancer services.
