Chris Lima – Head of Business and Change Management

Chris started his career in the Army serving 12 years as a Supply Controller. After a spell of living and working in Germany for 10 years and completing his MBA he returned to the UK as Managing Director for a German Logistics company supplying Logistics services to Siemens Healthineers including delivery and installation of MRI, CT and X-Ray scanners. Taking this UK business from being a failing organisation to winning the Oxford Business awards in 2012, Chris recognised his passion for leading change and achieving successful transformation through supporting teams to reach their full potential.

Chris began his career in the NHS as a Hospital Porter at OUH after being furloughed during COVID. After a short time at NHS Professionals as the OUH Trust Operations manager Chris took up the role of Cancer Manager at OUH. During this time Chris led the restructure of the cancer team, transformed how cancer performance data was presented in key meetings and worked to ensure that the Infoflex Cancer Management system was adapted to provide services with the information they required to manage patients in their pathways, improve patient outcomes and cancer performance.

Chris moved to Frimley Health as Cancer Services Manager building on the experience of managing a cancer team at a tertiary centre and gained valuable experience of supporting the improvement of Cancer and Cancer Outcomes and Services Data (COSD) performance. This role provided an opportunity to work with GP cancer leads and gain a valuable insight into the levers available to improve the links between primary and secondary care.

Chris is passionate about developing people and since working in cancer has used experience gained as a part-time Associate Lecturer at Oxford Brookes University Business school to lead on the development and delivery of the first National Level 3 Cancer Business Apprenticeship in partnership with PMA.
