Elcy Nwokeji – Senior Programme Manager for Faster Diagnosis

Elcy joined TVCA in September 2022. Before this, for seven years she worked across a variety of NHS organisations, and she also has a Postgraduate Diploma in Healthcare Leadership (Elizabeth Garett Anderson Programme). Her experience enabled her to implement a diverse range of sustainable, transformational, and strategic improvements within the NHS environment. Recent experience before joining TVCA included service redesign and support with improvement programmes such as elective care recovery (endoscopy and imaging) across NWL Trusts, as well as post-Covid pandemic and strategic planning, and management of local services.

Her role at TVCA is to lead the delivery of the NHS Long Term Plan ambitions for cancer across Thames Valley including:

• supporting pathways to diagnose cancer quicker
• improving patient experience
• enabling Providers to achieve the Faster Diagnosis Standard (FDS)
• supporting the diagnosis of non-cancer conditions more efficiently
