Dr Nic Beech – Managing Director

Nic Beech, RGN, BSc (Hons), MSc, DClinPrac, Onc cert, joins Thames Valley Cancer Alliance from NHS England National Cancer Programme where she was the Transformation Lead for Faster Diagnosis, leading the planning guidance for delivering the Faster Diagnosis Standard. Prior to that, she was the Director for Performance and Improvement at Surrey and Sussex Cancer Alliance where she led the programme for transforming cancer diagnostic pathways. She has more than 30 years’ experience in oncology nursing, education and research, gained in acute and community NHS, voluntary and higher education services.  Nic’s roles have involved supporting providers and health care systems to review their cancer services including an emphasis on workforce, cancer pathways and cancer governance processes.  She has published widely and represented cancer and nursing at professional steering groups including the Royal College of Nursing Breast and Cancer Care Forum Steering Committee, Cancer Research UK Clinical Advisory Group and the Multidisciplinary Cancer Stakeholder Group.
