Explore Careers in Allied Health Professions (AHPs)

The WOW Show has brought together all of its Allied Health Professions (AHP) career videos into one easy-to-access webpage. These engaging videos showcase real people working in a wide variety of AHP roles – such as radiographers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and more – helping to bring these vital healthcare careers to life. These resources are designed for use in a range of settings and are suitable for:

  • One-to-one careers guidance
  • Classroom teaching
  • Whole-school presentations or assemblies

This collection is ideal for students, teachers, career advisers, parents, and anyone interested in learning more about healthcare careers. The webpage also includes free downloadable teacher resources to support lesson planning and delivery.

Every single person in our primary, secondary, and tertiary workforces plays a role in ensuring patients have the best possible experience of cancer care. Access to training and learning in cancer care is vital to achieve this.

The NHS Long Term Plan, the People Plan, and the Cancer Workforce plan outline what we need to do to support you in your role, so that you are able to deliver the services we provide now, and the increased demand in the future.

TVCA works closely with Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) to achieve this.

We aim to support you with a range of initiatives including:

  • education and training
  • showcasing your work
  • recruitment and retention
  • ways of working differently
  • listening to your ideas for change and improvement and taking action
  • communities of practice
  • sharing best practice
  • encouraging standardisation across TVCA
  • providing a workforce focused steering group
